Treatment Groups

 

TCN offers a comprehensive range of Mental Health (MH) and Substance Use Disorder (SUD) groups for adults, designed to support individuals at various stages of recovery and wellness. Our groups, led by certified and licensed Substance Use and Mental Health providers, span a variety of topics and needs, including SUD programming, mental health therapy, education, relapse prevention, and skill-building, ensuring that individuals receive personalized care that promotes long-term stability and growth. Clients may be referred to the appropriate treatment group after an assessment with a licensed clinical professional.

 

The following is a complete listing of the groups currently offered. 

ACRP: Aftercare and Relapse Prevention. For adults with a moderate to severe Substance Use diagnosis, who have completed IOP (Intensive Outpatient), Residential or Forensic treatment, and have been sober at least 30 days.

 

DDR: Dual Diagnosis Recovery. For adults with a mild to moderate Mental Health diagnosis with primary Substance Use diagnosis. This group could also be used as an aftercare group for clients who have completed a Substance Use group but needs continuing care with a dual focus.

 

IOP: Intensive Outpatient. For clients with severe Substance Use Disorder, those who have started in a lower LOC (level of care) and may need more support, and MAT (Medication Assisted Treatment) clients. This group is also appropriate for clients who have identified trauma history.

 

Women Rising to Live in Today: Suited for women who struggle with mild to moderate Substance Use and a trauma response disorder, PTSD, acute stress, or other unspecified trauma and stress-related disorders.

 

SOP: Standard Outpatient. For adults with a Substance Use history with one or two consequences associated with Substance Use; prevention of future/potential consequences.

 

MOP: For adults diagnosed with a Marijuana/THC use disorder who are not using other substances.

 

MAT (Medication Assisted Treatment) Group: And adult who is enrolled in MAT services, who has already completed all other SUD treatment, including Aftercare.

 

ARG (Attendance Recovery) Group: This is a Saturday group that is mandatory for clients who hae missed an IOP or PHP group in the previous week.

 

SUD PHP: Substance Use Disorder Partial Hospitalization Program: For adults with a severe Substance Use Disorder diagnosis. This group is usually utilized by clients involved in Residential treatment, or who have a history of relapse, or who may need a high-intensity treatment protocol, or enhanced structure after returning to the community from incarceration.

 

PHP: For adults with a severe SUD/MH diagnosis. This may include clients with a history of relapse, clients for whom Residential Treatment is a hardship or who are waitlisted for a bed to become available. The group may also serve clients who have graduated Residential Treatment whose environment presents a high risk for relapse, or those who need enhanced structure after returning to the community from incarceration.

 

DBT: Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. This is for adults enrolled in individual Mental Health counseling who meet criteria for Borderline Personality Disorder or who struggle with emotion regulation.

 

Eating Disorder Therapy: For adults and older adolescents (when clinically appropriate) of any gender. This group includes meal support/exposure.

 

Mental Health 101: Focus on Wellness dimensions and added topics like stress management, self-care, and boundaries.

 

NVCR: Non-Violent Conflict Resolution. Mental Health group for adults focused on developing strong communication skills for resolving conflicts.

 

Trauma Healing & Support: Promotes awareness of safe coping skills while providing education about trauma, with a curriculum designed to decrease the negative effects of PTSD, complex trauma, traumatic grief and traumatic stressors.
