Important Update: Continued Care and Support at TCN

Important Update: Continued Care and Support at TCN

On April 29, 2026, TCN received formal notification from the MHDAS Board of Logan & Champaign Counties that we will not be receiving funding for fiscal year 2027. You can read that letter here.

As a result, subsidized support for client services at reduced rates through MHDAS will no longer be available moving forward.

First and foremost, we want to reiterate that TCN is fully committed to the communities in Logan and Champaign counties. We understand this news may create uncertainty, and we want to reassure you that TCN’s top priority is ensuring continuity of care and minimizing any disruption for the individuals and families we serve.

At the same time, TCN has proactively engaged community partners in preparation for these changes. We quickly connected with partners we had already been in communication with regarding FY26 funding exhaustion. From that group, we identified key partners and stakeholders with strong relationships with TCN and are conducting direct outreach to maintain collaboration, strengthen partnerships, and ensure open dialogue as we move forward together.

What This Means for Clients

  • No interruption in care: TCN will continue to see clients without interruption.

  • Medicaid coverage unchanged: Clients with Medicaid will continue services as usual, with no change in payment expectations.

  • Private insurance: Clients with commercial insurance will be responsible for applicable copays, deductibles, and any services not covered by their plan.

  • Uninsured clients: Clients without insurance will be responsible for the full cost of services received.

  • Payment expectations: Payment is expected at the time services are provided.

Support and Resources

TCN is committed to supporting clients as they navigate these changes and explore all available care options. To further assist, we will be hosting an open house at one of our Northern offices, where clients can receive help enrolling in Medicaid and have any questions addressed. Additional details, including the date, time, and location of the open house, will be shared in a follow-up announcement.

A Medicaid Standards Help Sheet has been made available to assist clients in determining potential eligibility for Medicaid coverage. Clients who believe they may qualify are encouraged to contact Medicaid directly at 1-844-640-6446 to begin the application process.

In addition, TCN offers walk-in clinic hours to provide assistance with Medicaid applications at the following locations:

  • TCN Urbana

    • Tuesdays and Thursdays: 10:00–11:00 a.m.

  • TCN Bellefontaine

    • Mondays and Wednesdays: 10:00–11:00 a.m.

    • Wednesdays: 1:00–2:00 p.m.

Clients with questions about coverage, billing, or financial responsibility may contact the TCN Billing Department at 937-376-8700 during regular business hours. Our team is available to provide guidance, review options, and help clients access the care they need.

Our Focus Remains Unchanged

Through this transition, we remain grounded in our core values:
Commitment, Accountability, Respect, Empathy, and Service.

We are proud of the important work taking place every day in Logan and Champaign counties and remain dedicated to our vision of building a strong community of healthy and productive individuals.

That vision does not change. It is strengthened by the dedication of our team, our partners, and the community we serve.
